Easy Easter Bunny Bunting {PB Kids Knock Off}

I always love a good knock-off, don’t you? Here is a very easy and cute Easter bunny bunting knock off from Pottery Barn.

Good morning and Happy Spring to you! I am so excited that Spring has finally arrived! This past weekend I completely spring-ified our house. I finished a few fun Easter Craft Projects and whipped up 11 new pillows for the living/dining room (if you follow me on Instagram you got a sneak preview of those!).

Today I have 13 Egg-cellent Easter Projects to share with you- including my own quick and easy Easter Bunny Bunting craft that adds a colorful touch to your Easter Décor (and takes only minutes to make!!)…

I first found my inspiration for this DIY project when perusing Pottery Barn Kid’s Easter Décor products. I saw this adorable bunny bunting and decided I had to make my own version of it. Their version is no longer available so I guess it was pretty popular. If you love it like I did, don’t fear… you can make your own!

A side by side of PB version and my version of the bunny bunting.

To make this bunting you will need the following supplies:

The colourful paper and supplies to make the bunting.

– cardstock in patterns and colors of your choice (the PB version uses fabric covered cardstock but I just used regular cardstock/scrapbook paper)
– a bunny template (I printed mine off from this website)
– scissors
– ribbon or ric rac trim for hanging it (I got mine from BB Crafts)
– PomPoms (I picked mine up at Michaels)
– glue gun and glue

Simply start by tracing your bunny template onto your cardstock. I traced mine onto the back…

Cutting a traced bunny out of paper.

Cut it out and glue the ribbon or ric rac across the top of the bunny ears. I used a ruler to help me ensure that I spaced the bunnies evenly and drew a little line across the ears to make sure I glued the ric rac in a somewhat level fashion.

Then flip that bad boy over and glue some cute cotton pom pom tails on those bunnies…

Using a hot glue gun to attach the cotton tail.

Hang the bunny bunting and enjoy!

See-I wouldn’t lie to you. Easy! And quick! And, I think, super cute.

I love how it looks on our Easter mantel- I will show you a little more of that really soon:)

  1. I have a very similar template from last year, have no idea where I got it. I made them all out of water color paper so they’re bit stronger, put glittery colored marker around all the edges and used colored cotton balls to match color I marked around edges. Your bunny garland is so adorable.
I love ones I made but absolutely crave the papers/colors you used, so pretty and cheery/Eastery. It’s very hard to find many supplies I see on blog land. I went all over town today looking for colored cotton balls for my tails, finally found them at Michaels, little pricey but had a 20% off everything coupon.
I love your template with the crooked ear, much cuter I think. Will have to wait til I get my ink cartridges from HP before I can print it out. No shipping charge either.
I’d been looking in town close to us and different stores in Grand Junction, boy have people gotten greedy, prices were ridiculously higher. Got cartridges thru HP at price I’ve been paying for couple years at least, for Pete’s sake it’s ink in that little bitty container, makes me mad. Won’t get cartridges til the weekend or next Monday but it’s worth the wait. Frustrating not being able to print things but the money talks.
SS doesn’t go very far anymore. Gets harder all the time. US govt. acts like they’re doing us a big favor when they give us a raise, I got $15, whoopee compared to all the raised prices on everything and we’ve had 5 weeks months right after the other. . Please forgive my rant.
I was off line for almost 2 solid months with a sick pc, grrrr. Got lots done in house but sure missed reading all the great posts, still not caught up. Hope it’s springy for you where you live. We had 40’s today and sleet. Can’t complain as other people in midwest and east are having lots of snow yet. We live a few miles west of Grand Junction. BE happy

  2. Hi Krista! This bunny garland is so adorable and I am in love with the colors!!! Thanks for sharing and pinning – hope you’re having a happy (or hoppy! 😉 week!

  3. Oh my I made that same bunny garland few weeks ago! I used twine and big cotton balls. Same bunny outline!!!
