4 Fab Ways to Personalize Your Gift Wrapping this Holiday {& $200 TinyPrints Giveaway!!}
I am sharing fab ways to personalize your holiday gift wrapping this season!
So…. you’re giving your husband socks for Christmas.
That doesn’t mean you can’t make the box look beautiful, right?!?
Today I am back with Day 4 in in my Twelve Days of Christmas series. And I’m sharing 4 Fab ways to Personalize your Christmas Gift Wrapping this holiday. Because let’s face it. Sometimes the wrapping is even more fun then what is inside!
I am super thrilled today to be collaborating with an amazing group of bloggers who are sharing their own incredible gift wrapping ideas and inspiration. And we were all honoured to have the chance to work with TinyPrints to incorporate some of their personalized papers, cards, and labels into our holiday wrapping this year.
I have to tell you. My boys are OVER. THE. MOON. about this wrapping paper.
Like, seriously in love with it. They want to cut out the pictures of themselves and tape them up all over their room. And my 8 year old keeps asking me when he can wrap his teacher’s gift because he wants to use his “personalized” wrapping paper for her! They absolutely love their personalized picture labels as well…
And, really, why do we buy so many standard commercial wrapping and card products when there are such beautiful, personalized gift wrap and gift tag stickers available?
I honestly didn’t even know they were an option until I had the chance to work with TinyPrints this year! I’m super excited about sending our holiday cards… Perhaps I just can’t get enough of this photograph of my boys – you’ve seen it a few times lately!
So, how can you personalize your own holiday gift wrapping this season?
- Use photo gift tag stickers!
I mean, what can I say?! Who wouldn’t rather have an adorable picture on their gift label then a sparkly printed kitten-eating-holly sticker? I think it goes without saying.
2) Try out some personalized photo paper
This stuff is awesome. I’ve already told you how much my boys love it. I can’t wait to see my parent’s and my in-laws reactions to it. I have a feeling my Mother-in-Law might be unwrapping her present very carefully so she can “save” the paper. You know how Grandma’s love to do that. {Or was that only my Grandma?!}.
3) Double wrap your gifts
I love to use one type of paper to wrap the whole gift, and then layer a second paper over the middle of it. Baker’s twine is one of my favourite festive ways to embellish a wrapped gift as well – and in this case I used a hanging chalkboard label that I picked up at a craft store.
4) Use real ribbon and create your own decorative bows.
Those store-bought plastic-y bows are so 1993. It’s time to move on to some real twine or ribbon or even yarn. It just takes your gift-wrapping to a whole new level.
I know the old adage says that “it’s what inside that counts.”
But, really?!? Is it?
{We are talking about gifting here, not about people – just to be clear!}.
I truly do believe that it’s not just what’s on the inside: it’s the package that counts too.
Even if you can’t afford to spend a ton of money on gifting, I believe that putting in the effort to make the wrapping look beautiful shows your recipients that you really care. To me, time is my rarest commodity so spending my time on doing something for a loved one means a great deal.
Plus, don’t they look lovely below the tree??
Beautifully wrapped gifts become part of your Christmas decor as well!
