Hello everyone! Does free stuff warm you up? Well with all the cold out there I’d love to help warm you up with some free printable winter chalkboard art.
Winter is probably the season that we spend the most time indoors and with the dreary weather outdoors it is extra important to make our homes warm, calm, welcoming havens. And some free printable chalkboard art is a perfect way to add a little warmth and character.

I had my images printed on a color copier at Staples in an 11×17 size in order to fit the openings in our Ikea frames. The frames I put them in are from Ikea and have an odd size opening so I made some of these printables in an 11×15 size… if you want these you can email me and I will send them to you. The winter chalkboard art printables that I shared below are formatted to print in an 8×10 size.

You can download the printables yourself by clicking here or the button below to subscribe.

  1. oh my goodness, love your winter printables!! always love decorating my house inside as well as outside, and only decorate for seasons. im always struggling to find ones that aren’t Christmassy, and I absolutely love these!! Thanks so much for thinking outside the box & not just the same ones I see all day long 🙂

  2. I love the chalkboard prints and do appreciate you sharing . Being new at this I am confused as to how they print – seems like they would use a whole lot of black ink – or do you print on s chalkboard look paper ?

    1. Hi Vikki! They definitely will use more ink then printing out a standard letter or piece of writing- as they are primarily black. If you are concerned about using your ink, you could take them to a copy and print shop instead and print them there (like, at Staples). Save your printer ink!!

  3. Hello! I just stumbled across your blog and the free Winter Printables from Jan 10, 2014. I too have those ikea frames and was wondering if you could email me the 11×17 sizes for both? Gorgeous. Thanks so much. I love your blog!

  4. Ah Krista, You always make such incredible art and projects, love everything you do. Thank you so much for the wonderful chalk board art for Winter. I look forward to printing these out and framing. Think I’ll see if I can make burlap mats for them in my frames. You are so generous and talented.
I love your gallery wall also, love how you varied the items when you hung them. The louvered doors are perfect. Wish I Had a couple, we had to leave several in KY. What part of map is on your letters? I love big letters with maps on them. The colors make them great to start. Happy weekend to you Krista

    1. Thank you JaneEllen – your comments always make me smile! I think the prints would look great with burlap mats- that sounds like a fun project!! We got our shutter/louvered doors for free when my Mom’s friend was renovating her whole house – I think my husband thought I was a little nutty dragging them home but I knew they would be great somewhere someday (okay, I might be a bit of a hoarder…). The maps are different on each letter – the ones on the K and A (my husband and my initials) are of spots in Europe that we travelled to when we were younger. The L and F (my boys’ initials) are of the US/Canada and the Caribbean (a place I would like to go one day!!). I love the colors in maps too- am thinking of using some in decorating our boys’ room (that is the next big project I think). Hope you have a great weekend as well!

    1. I hear ya Kelly- though we had an unseasonably warm day today and the sun even managed to peak through for a while. I think it might be true about the sweetness of summer- it might not be so sweet if we had it all the time…
