Hope you all had a fabulous weekend…..
We’ve been busy doing some serious camping around here. More on the reasons behind that soon! This past week the boys and I were camping with some friends on beautiful Hornby Island, BC. If you follow me on Instagram you have likely seen some of our camping adventures lately….
And tomorrow we are off to beautiful Tofino, BC for some sand and surf. Well, okay, maybe the boys will do a little boogie boarding. There won’t be a whole lot of ‘real’ surfing going on though I suspect that my oldest son has other ideas in his head.
If you have never heard of it, Tofino is an adorable little village that happens to boast the best beaches in Canada for surfing. It is a fairly quiet little place in the winter (though it has gotten more and more popular for winter “storm-watching” season)…. and is an absolute tourist mecca in the summer. We used to live there for about three years, and moved away just over three years ago…. so it will be great to get back and explore our favourite local haunts again.
But vacations aside… today I am over at Domestic Superhero sharing a quick and easy little craft project that would make a perfect hostess gift.

Hi Chris! – Yes, those are big logs that float in to the beach – usually during the stormier weather in the winter season. Pretty beautiful, aren’t they? There are also a zillion little pieces of driftwood that float in too at the high tide line.
