Waves & Sunshine Beachy Tablescape {with Pfaltzgraff Dolce Turquoise Giveaway!!}

One of my favorite things to do in the summer is to entertain friends and family. Here is my beachy tablescape inspired by sunshine and waves!

Do you love summer entertaining? We love entertaining all year round and are usually the hosts of all the big fun family gatherings around here. Our whole family contributes but we enjoying having everyone in our home, and I love setting a pretty table for our family and friends to enjoy. So in honour of our last stretch of summer entertaining I’m sharing a beautiful “Waves & Sunshine” Beachy Tablescape using my new Pfaltzgraff Dolce Turquoise place settings.

I am thrilled to collaborate with Pfaltzgraff on this pretty tablescape. The Dolce Turquoise dinnerware you see here truly is the star of the show. I love the fun colour combination of yellow and turquoise…it reminds me of a bright sunny day at the beach or lake. My favourite kind of day.

A beautiful tablescape doesn’t have to cost an arm-and-a-leg. If you have fresh flowers from the garden on hand, use them. If you don’t…search your house for some interesting momentos and treasures. Instead of using a traditional centerpiece like flowers I decided to create something a little more fresh, unique and combined some adorable beachy feeling lanterns (from Ikea) with some driftwood, dried starfish, and decorative seashell balls. By decorating ‘outside the box’ you create a table that gives your guests something pretty to look at and something to talk about. I love the way the rustic centerpiece items tie in beautifully with our round woven placemats (also from Ikea).

Yellow table runner is in the middle of the table with dishes on it.

A neutral placement is underneath the turquoise dishes.

There is driftwood on the table.

The Dolce Turquoise has such a beautiful decorative design. I love the subtle textured feel of it;  the perfect amount of color and pretty pattern. I can’t wait to see it displayed on the open shelving that we are planning to install in our soon-to-be renovated kitchen. I think it will pop beautifully against a white subway tile backdrop, don’t you?

You can tell that the Pfaltzgraff Dolce Turquoise is excellent quality – it is thick and substantial without being too heavy or chunky. I have had some dishware before that caused me wrist injuries every time I used it so I am always careful now not to choose plates that are TOO big or heavy. The Dolce is also the perfect size for a plate- sometimes plates are sooooo huge that you end up taking way too much food without realizing it…and that is not exactly great for the waistline.

I am thrilled with my new Pfaltzgraff Dolce Turquoise Dinnerware and am even more thrilled that Pfaltzgraff is offering you the chance to win your own 4 piece setting of Dolce Turquoise!!  You can also check online at Boscov’s for Dolce Turquoise– they have fabulous prices for this exact set!
