Housie Inspiration: Bright Beachy Living Spaces

I am sharing some beachy inspiration that will brighten up your living spaces!

Inspiration.

The best forms of inspiration combine the definitions in part one and part two below. You feel mentally stimulated to do something creative while at the same time they cause you to draw in your breath in that AH moment of excitement.

Do you have a place you collect little bits of inspiration?

They might be images, quotes, ideas, or products that have inspired you in some way or that you relate to improving your life or home?

I’m starting a new Saturday series here at The Happy Housie where I share little tid-bits of inspiration from around the web. Some of this might be things I’ve been collection for a while; other times it may be items that I have just started focusing on. Some weeks may be random thoughtful collections of inspiration; while other weeks may fit according to a specific theme.

I’ve been adding to my Pinterest board “A Little Housie Inspiration” for quite a few years now and it has become quite the mish-mash of inspiration. I pin spaces I love, products I might want to buy, and ideas for improving our own home.

Today, I thought it was about time that I shared some of these with you; and given that I am loving bright beachy living spaces right now I decided to start there…

So here are ten beautiful bright beachy living spaces that I hope you will find as inspiring as I do. Sit back, relax and enjoy…

Two yellow poufs, a purple throw and multi colored throw pillows in the living room.

This one might be just about my favourite living room EVER. I am absolutely swooning over the hits of bright colour on the white sectional; I love the fireplace design and bookshelves, and the white walls are so fresh and crisp. I am seriously, seriously, seriously tempted to get out my paint brush and roller and give our living room a few coats of white so I can mimic this look. What do you think? Via House Beautiful

White couches, orange side tables and a beachy chandelier.

Another light and airy space with gorgeous white slipcovers and bright hits of colour. While I love the pop of orange I don’t know if I could live with it long term… what do you think? Via House of Turquoise

Rattan furniture with bright pillows in a siting room.

I feel like this is the perfect slightly rustic beachy cottage to spend a week’s vacation in. I absolutely love the collected and eclectic feel and the warm hits of wicker and wood that pop against the crisp white backdrop of the panelling and slipcovered sofa. Via Thistlewood Farms

Two wicker chairs flank a fireplace.

Always a beautiful light and airy space, Kelly’s living room Via The Lilypad Cottage has soft hits of subtle colour that give you that serene and calm beachy feel. I love the fireplace flanked by bookshelves… what is your favourite part?

There is a woven tray with flowers on it and white couches in a living room.

Lucy from Craftberry Bush is one of the most talented stylists I know and I love following her blog. These images from her home tour last summer show how crisp and beautiful and beachy indigo blues look when paired with bright whites and softer aquas. What do you love about it?

A bright yellow sideboard is in this bright living room.

I absolutely swoon over this gorgeous space from The Pleated Poppy Via House of Turquoise. Between the bright and cheery patchwork pillows, the yellow vintage dresser, the stunning white panelled ceiling, and that beautiful unique dutch door there isn’t anything that I don’t love about this space. You should definitely head over and take the whole tour – it is amazing!

A wooden table painted a grey/blue with flowers on it.

How cozy and perfect is this space via Gather & Build? I absolutely love the bare wooden floors – so summery and fresh; along with that graphic light fixture. Of course, my favourite is the collection of pillows on that, yet again, beautiful white slipcovered sofa (I am sensing a trend here…). What is your favourite part?

Polished pebble beachy decor with a fan light fixture.

Um, is that about the coolest fan you have ever seen? This cottage via the Polished Pebble looks like another perfect spot to spend a vacation – I am drooling over the adorable sign above teh console! And did you take a close look at those lamps?!

Another dutch door adds even more character to this already gorgeous character-full beachy cottage Via BHG. I love how fresh and bright it all looks with the white painted beams on the ceiling. I could definitely spend a few weeks holiday here, and then never want to leave!

A sectional white sofa with throw pillows.

This fresh and simple space via The Lettered Cottage made me think of how you can add a bright beachy feel to any regular old living room by combining some basic elements: a light sofa or sectional sofa, bamboo blinds, drapery, a light and bright wall colour and panelling, fun cheery throw pillows, and some unique collected finds. A perfect and easy combination to pull off!

This is awesome! Pin it to remember it!
